Feedback from the Real World Studios engineers:

We’d like to thank everyone who entered the Real World Remix contest. We hope that you enjoyed taking apart and reworking the stems of Les Amazones d’Afrqiue’s track, Love. We thoroughly enjoyed listening to your remixes and were amazed by the high standard. There really wasn’t a bad one among them. The number we received was higher than we’d hoped for, amounting to 36 hours of listening in total.

Whittling the entries down was no easy task. Every single remix was listened to and given an equal chance by the team from the studio before we selected the final 12. Unfortunately we aren’t able to give individual feedback on each remix, as you can imagine, but the diversity and imagination that went into your remixes really stood out to us. There were some truly inventive and unique re-imaginings of the track, taking it to places we wouldn’t have expected. The sonics of the tracks were overall impeccable, the mixes were overwhelmingly refined and well balanced with many of them sitting at a release-ready standard.

The final 12 remixes are now being listened to by judges Jacknife Lee and Che Pope. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners will be revealed on Wednesday 10 June 2020.

Remix Contest: ‘Love’ by Les Amazones d’Afrique

Yesterday I uploaded a remix for this contest from Real World:

https://realworldrecords.com/features/blogs/remix-contest-love-by-les-amazones-dafrique/

Seven years passed since my last remix... An unbelievable time frame.

I feel happy and melancholic... At the moment, it seems it is not possible to listen to these remixes. Let's see what happens in next days.

It would be great to me to see some known names to appear amongst the uploaded playlists... This is not possible, I know it. But it is a nice thought to think of.
